As an alternative to Cosmetic Bonded Veneers, custom-made crowns and veneers are formed with the use of 3D oral scanning to change the appearance of your teeth.  We can make these in any colour, shape or size based on the look you want to achieve.

While both are incredible lab-made options to improve the appearance and functionality of teeth, a crown does require more preparation to the tooth compared to a veneer. 

Therefore, a crown is a great option if your tooth is lacking in strength or has been previously damaged. A veneer on the other hand, has minimal preparation to the original tooth and is secured on top, offering a great option to change the shape and size of a stronger, healthier tooth.

The process of placing crowns and veneers can vary massively depending on the client and if it is part of a bigger smile makeover journey. However, you will always be made aware of the timeline of your treatment once you have had your initial consultation with us.

What do Crowns & Veneers do?

To accommodate the placing of a crown/crowns a small portion of the tooth’s surface is removed to create space for the crown to be secured on top and fit neatly against the gum. A crown not only offers a very natural option when restoring teeth, it also provides structural support to a previously weakened tooth.

A veneer requires minimal tooth preparation with only a very small portion of the tooth’s surface being removed from the front surface and in some cases no tooth surface is removed at all. Not only are porcelain veneers highly durable, they are the perfect option for enhancing the appearance of teeth by changing colour, shape or size and can last for many, many years with good oral hygiene and minimal maintenance.
